Abstract
The investigation seeks to identify the causes and impact of personnel turnover in a company in San Luis PotosÃ. A methodology that involved several people was used to obtain relevant information. The objective was to understand the different causes of this problem and be able to compare the results with other similar companies. This will allow not only to diagnose the situation in the studied company, but also to provide useful comparative data.
The company had a high level of staff turnover, which generated negative comments. Therefore, it was decided to investigate the possible causes or origins of this problem in order to address it effectively.
The research was developed at an operational level since it was distinguished that it was the area with the highest number of turnover, it was developed through surveys and interviews. The tools focused on meeting the established objectives and above all on answering the research questions.
A mixed approach was used, collecting both quantitative and qualitative data. The study was descriptive and causal, seeking to identify the causes and factors that influence the problem. A cross-sectional design was used and the instruments were applied to a convenience sample of 48 participants. The conclusions indicated that the main causes of turnover were low salary and job dissatisfaction, likewise, the incorrect selection of personnel and the lack of organizational culture contributed to the problem.
